A little history

The king devoted the gorgeous lake to his wife Sheela.

How to reach
Reaching Siliserh Lake is quite thrilling in its own way. One can have to reach Alwar via road or train first.
By Road: The road distance between the lake and Delhi is just 165 Kms and it is 110 Kms is Jaipur. The bus will drop you on closest turn to the lake and from here you have to take tempo for moving further 7-8 kms.
Hiring a cab from Alwar is a good idea to avoid hassle.
By Train: Alwar has good network of rails. It is connected with all the major parts of the country. From Delhi the Shatabdi Express connect to Alwar.
