Every corner of the world has its special food items which are sold at every second joint of the city or place. These local and easy to find snacks are fast to make and even eaten while you are on the go or sometimes just to have a break. SAMOSA tops the list of fast foods. This pyramid of refined flour is generally stuffed from mashed potato, peas and dry fruits filling. It is deep fried to make the crust crispy. The blend of spices highlight the taste when served with tangy tamarind sweet and sour chutney, green chillies chutney topped with onions, Sev and garnished with fresh coriander.
Marwar special MIRCHI BADA is a deep fried snack of gram flour. The long and green chilly stuffed with mashed boiled potatoes coated in gram flour batter is fried in hot oil bath. Mirchi bada is spicy in taste, as the potato filling is made using dry spices, red chilli powder and dry mango powder as the boiled chilly is bland in taste. It is also served with green mint or coriander chutney and bread.
KHASTA KACHORI is a wonderful quick snack, an all-time favourite one. It has a crispy outer layer made from Maida Flour and stuffed with adry mixture of yellow lentils, spiced up with chilli powder, garam masala, and coarsely crushed coriander seeds. It is rolled out into a hollow ball and deep fried on a low flame. It is served with tamarind chutney, green chilli chutney, and curd.
PALAK PAKODA is another crispy snack to satisfy your taste buds. Coarsely chopped palak (spinach) is mixed in gram flour batter, adding chopped green chillies and salt and deep fried. So quick and easy to make in no time, widely available as one of the street breakfast items served with the spicy kadhi, a spicy liquid gram flour preparation, which is quite spicy for those who enjoy spicy food, accompanied with a small loaf of bread (pav).
PYAAZ KI KACHORI is more or less similar to khasta kachori; the only difference is in the filling. This kachori has lots of Onions sautéed with spices as its filling. Obviously, will taste different and really mouth watering.
Variety of MATHRIS is the most popular tea time snack available on every fast food centre. It is made from Maida Flour, salt and powdered pepper and cumin seeds. Rolled into a small round and flat shape and deep fried.
